Look up a home's energy label (energielabel)
Every home sold in the Netherlands needs a registered energy label, from A++++ (very efficient) to G. It affects energy costs and how much you can borrow.
How it works
- The label comes from EP-Online, the official register run by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). The newest registration for the address is shown.
- A label is valid for ten years. Labels made before 2021 used an older, less detailed method.
- No label found means none is registered for this address; the seller must arrange one before the sale.
- With a label A or B (or better) you may borrow a fixed extra amount under the lending norms; see how much you could borrow.
Information, not advice. The register is decisive.
