Deadlines after your offer is accepted

After you and the seller sign the purchase agreement (koopovereenkomst), several deadlines follow: the legal cooling-off period, the conditions in your contract, the deposit and the transfer at the notary.

Dates from your purchase agreement

How it works

  • Cooling-off period (bedenktijd): by law you may cancel the purchase of a home within three days, counting from the day after you received the agreement signed by both parties. A weekend or public holiday can make it longer (Algemene termijnenwet). Domotra calculates this date.
  • Conditions (ontbindende voorwaarden): the financing and inspection dates are in your contract; Domotra only lists them with what to do.
  • Domotra never contacts the agent, notary or lender for you.

Information, not legal advice. Your contract and the notary are decisive.

Next: buyer costs and the cash you need.
